Presentation Learning Objectives 1. Identify and discuss mental health issues of clients who are veterans or are currently servicing including suicide ideation, substance use, PTSD, MST, and TBI. 2. Integrate concepts of connecting, coping, being safe, and openness in a clinical setting to build trust while leading to additional and supportive resources. 3. Apply resources and solutions where they can become sustainable and foundational including types of therapy, antidepressant, anti-anxiety, and mood-stabilizing drugs. 4. Understand how to work with families of veterans and those servicing with topics around transitioning back into civilization, grief, survivor’s guilt, anger, and medication management.
